About me
Dr. Mabry Gaboardi Calhoun earned her Ph.D. at the Florida State University (FSU) Department of Geological Sciences, examining past climate signals in herbivore tooth enamel and developing a method to analyze extraterrestrial materials embedded in aerogel. At FSU's Learning Systems Institute, she facilitated the collaboration between scientists and expert educators to create and deliver content-focused teacher professional development. She taught science at a variety of levels, including formal K-5 science classroom experience, informal middle and high school Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) opportunities, and courses in geology, environmental geology, and earth science at the state college and university level. She is currently the Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Florida Geological Survey.
