About me
Lauren Butcher enjoys sharing the Everglades with students, teachers, and visitors as an Environmental Education Coordinator at Grassy Waters Preserve (West Palm Beach, FL). She also currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Audubon Everglades. Lauren has over 16 years of experience as an environmental educator, previously working for The Raptor Trust (Millington, NJ) and FAU Pine Jog Environmental Education Center (West Palm Beach, FL), where she coordinated the Green Schools Recognition Program and the NOAA-funded Climate READY program (Climate Resilience Education & Action for Dedicated Youth). She holds a master’s degree in nonprofit management with a certificate in environmental education from Florida Atlantic University. A third-generation Floridian, Lauren is passionate about connecting people with the natural world in South Florida and beyond.
